"Technology for Tactics" - a vision for 2050

The US Army's Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) has produced this video, designed to stimulate new thinking as to what sort of army aviation technology might be needed by 2050.

AMRDEC is asking for feedback, which you can provide here if you're both qualified and interested.

Airpower territorial fighting between the various services will kill anything in this area. Really stupid. Understandable history wise, but still stupid.

Check out the history of the origins of the OV-10 Bronco, and how the Airforce did their best to kill it. They couldn't, but their meddling had major ramifications. That story finally turned me off regarding the AirForce. They didn't want the A-10 Warthog, and tried to kill that, which might have been a continuation of their bias against CAS for the Army. But, they won't allow them to have their own planes, either. Assholes.

How many grunts have died due to this sort of mindset?
